When Mommy's Away...
...the boys will play!
Not really.
First, let me recount our wonderful weekend. Bean got me tickets to see The Police in Atlantic City last August (of course, they would later announce shows in nearby Charlotte) for this past Saturday. So we got an overnight babysitter, and drove up to AC - 8 hours there, 8 hours back - spending more time together in the car than doing anything else that weekend. But it was a good drive and we arrived in AC with time to spare. Good thing, too - due to our local mild weather, we forgot our jackets and so had to buy some at one of the outlet stores by our hotel (we were about 3 or 4 blocks from Boardwalk Hall, so we decided to walk). We had excellent seats (floor level), the opening band turned out to be fronted by Sting's son, and The Police put on an awesome show!!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Lochlain and Seanie petted goats, got new shoelaces, ate a K&W Cafeteria, went for a walk, played with Jacob, and had cake and ice cream at our babysitter's husband's birthday party (or at least that's what Lochlain told us - albeit garbled and in one big run-on sentence).
Mommy left for France yesterday afternoon - so while she was at Daycare for morning dropoff, she was not there for evening pickup. The cries for Mommy started pretty much immediately. It took a while, but Lochlain finally remembered that "Mommy go on airplane" and that "Mommy is in Fance" (aka France). Seanie - well, he appears to be craving some Mommy love - but we'll get to that in a minute.
So last night went well - everyone (including Daddy) were well-behaved. This morning went off without a hitch, too. Everything was going great.....until we came home tonight at 6:30 PM and Daddy discovered he had locked everyone out of the house. Luckily, the bestest next-door neighbors in the world coincidentally live next door, so they let us crash there while Daddy made arrangements for a locksmith to come and let us in to the house. Lochlain had a ball playing with 4 year old Ava, 2 year old Jackson, and all their new and interesting toys (so much so that he totally ignored one of his favorite dinners - Chicken Nuggets and Fries), while Seanie cuddled up to neighbor Angie after eating up a bunch of his dinner. And of course, they didn't want to leave once we could get into the house......it was hard to believe the whole "ordeal" only lasted an hour at most.......
CANDY OF THE WEEK:....is Candy Corn Taffy. It's delicious - it's taffy that tastes like candy corn! And at a discount price (now that Halloween is over), how can you go wrong? ANSWER: You can't. You just can't.
The following video is really for Mommy, who is away and is missed by ALL her boys - and we know she misses us too:

This is absolutely the sweetest video ever!!!
I miss you guys so much.
Not so much a fan of the candy corn though.
XOXOXOXO
Adorable bebbies! Sounds like you should keep your car keys and house keys on the same chain--just my opinion.
I bet you will be happy when Beanie returns from her adventures abroad!
Super cute video...I can't wait to hear about France - not that the locksmith story wasn't cool and all.
I love the video. I'd also love to go to France. Locking myself out of my house is one of my biggest nightmares. Good thing you weren't in New York, huh? Heh heh.
OK, I come to your blog, now you must come to ours! This is Anastasia, by the way.
